The Rhodes MK8 ‘Night Train’ is a supremely limited Custom Shop piano, created to honour Oscar Peterson’s 100th birthday and pay tribute to his legendary album of the same name.
Oscar Peterson’s masterful, expressive playing made him one of the most influential pianists of all time. Although best known for acoustic piano, Peterson occasionally turned to the Rhodes to explore new textures. In his hands, it spoke with the same clarity, drive, and swing that embodied his touch on the grand. The Rhodes MK8 ‘Night Train’ celebrates his legacy – pairing the unmistakable sound of the MK8 with a design language drawn from the album that defined an era of modern jazz.
