In October 2024, renowned Leeds-based artist Nicolas Dixon, known for his bold, internationally acclaimed work, was commissioned by Rhodes to create a truly unique, hand-painted MK8 piano. This remarkable instrument was auctioned through a silent bidding process, which helped raise funds for the charity Last Night a DJ Saved My Life.
Following the success of this auction, Dixon designed two additional, limited-edition MK8 hood wraps, bringing his signature artistic touch to these exclusive MK8 models.

“I wanted this design to carry the spirit of fun and boundless creativity, much like classic albums like the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s,” Dixon reflects. “The colours feel nostalgic and vibrant, evoking the era of music legends like Elton John and Stevie Wonder.”
