COMPETITION OVERVIEW

Rhodes is inviting musicians and producers worldwide to reimagine a new Rhodes Custom Shop film through sound.

Entrants will compose and design a soundtrack – built primarily from Rhodes sounds – to accompany the new Rhodes Custom Shop trailer.

Ten finalists will enter a public vote, and the winner will receive a Rhodes MK8 of their choice – either a MK8 Custom Shop from the current range, or a standard Rhodes MK8 customisation. 

Second – fifth place runners-up win the entire Rhodes Software suite. Sixth – tenth place runners-up win 2 Rhodes Software products of their choice. 

Submissions Close: December 8th.

  • Winner Announced: January 20th

Take Part

Step 1. Download the ‘Custom Keys’ film.
 
Step 2. Create your soundtrack, built primarily with Rhodes software or hardware (supporting instruments, sounds, and effects are welcome).
Tip: All Rhodes Software comes with a 14-day free trial.
 
Step 3. Upload your film + score to YouTube with the title:
Rhodes ‘Custom Keys’ Submission – [Your Name]
Include the hashtag #RhodesCustomKeys in the description.
 
Step 4. Submit your entry via this form.
 
Step 5. After submissions close, the Rhodes team will select the top 10 finalists.
 
Step 6. Finalists’ videos will be featured on the official Rhodes YouTube channel.
 
Step 7. The public decides – the video with the most likes is crowned winner, receiving a hand-built Rhodes MK8 of their choice.

WIN A RHODES MK8

Rhodes invites creators worldwide to compose an original soundtrack for a new short film built around Rhodes sounds.
 
To celebrate the launch of the Custom Shop, a two-minute film entitled Custom Keys has been produced, designed specifically for scoring. Rhodes software or hardware must form the core of each entry, with supporting instruments and textures permitted.
 
The winning soundtrack – selected by public vote – will become the film’s official score. The creator of the winning entry will receive a hand-built Rhodes MK8 piano.
