Florian Pellissier
Florian Pellissier is a visionary pianist and bandleader from France, redefining modern jazz by blending the rich traditions of hard-bop with his bold, boundary-pushing style. A graduate of New York’s prestigious New School Jazz Program, Florian quickly became a leading figure in the French jazz scene as the driving force behind the acclaimed Florian Pellissier Quintet. His influence extends across genres, performing with legends like Iggy Pop and Leron Thomas, while shaping the sound of celebrated groups like Cotonete, Aldorande, and Setenta.
In May 2024, Floria, along with collaborators David Georgelet and Jean-Claude Kebaili, took to the Brownswood Basement to perform an exclusive set for Rhodes x Gilles Peterson’s Triology.

AMARO FREITAS
Amaro Freitas is a visionary pianist from Recife, Pernambuco, transforming Brazilian jazz’s sound by blending Afro-Brazilian rhythms with the influence of jazz legends like John Coltrane and Thelonious Monk. Growing up playing piano in church under his father’s guidance, Amaro’s natural talent quickly outgrew his early lessons. Today, as leader of the Amaro Freitas Trio, he continues to push the boundaries of jazz with a sound deeply rooted in the traditions of his homeland.
In August 2023, Gilles Peterson invited Amaro Freitas, along with renowned session musicians David Mrakpor and Sam “Barrell” Jones, to the Brownswood Basement in London to perform the very first Triology session.

In early 2023, renowned DJ, radio broadcaster and music producer Gilles Peterson, creator of Worldwide FM, conceived the concept of Triology.
Now, in partnership with Rhodes Music Group, Triology is brought to life. Set within the intimate surroundings of his new studio and centred around the Rhodes MK8, this immersive series brings together trios of incredible musicians and offers a space for creative, spontaneous performance.
